We explored nearby local restaurants for some authentic meals and visited a local scuba diving school for an adventure. The staff were friendly and helpful!
One downside was the limited availability of deck chairs by the pool. Sometimes it felt crowded during peak hours, made finding a spot challenging.

Wonderful service from the staff made our stay enjoyable.
Unfortunately, we encountered a few issues . The first room we checked into had an issue with the door lock, quite disheartening. We were transferred to another room that, albeit comfortable, had a persistent paint smell in the evenings, made it hard to relax.

The family and staff running this hotel were very freindly and really wanted to make sure their guests were having a good holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and we were constantly asked if everything was ok. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of previous customer reviews on the beds. These were very comfortable unlike many of the wooden back breakers we have experienced over the years we have travelled to greece. The room especially the bathroom was very modern and cleaned every day. The pool area was well designed and tranquil.
The only thing we did not like was the traffic noise especially from the many small motorbikes passing all hours of the day. The hotel is located on the main through road across from a large car park. If the windows were left open at night the noise from the bikes went on until the early hours of the morning, Having said this the hotel had installed brand new double glazed doors leading out to the balcony and had excellent air conditioning which was included in the price of the room.

We enjoyed the Hippocampus Hotel tremendously! Staff was superb. The hotel is a perfect place to stay in Santorini. It is close to the beach and a great value for money. It has comfortable rooms with great showers, a very nice pool and beautiful landscaping. It was relaxing. The beach and a parking lot are nearby, about one block away. Our flight left at night and we were asked if we wanted to keep one room until then. So we all were able to get cleaned up after a great afternoon at the beach. We've stayed in Santorini before and finally found the hotel to return to.

Very nice location near the beach and plenty of cafes. The pool area was clean with enough loungers. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Staff were genuinely helpful, especially Barbara, who went out of her way to assist. The room was spacious with air conditioning. Cleanliness in the bathroom was lacking, showing signs of mold that needed more attention.

Great stay with super friendly staff
Had an awesome week here! The super nice team, even arranged a taxi last minute. The room was nice and clean. The pool area was lovely. We enjoyed some tasty snacks at the poolside bar too. Just a note, the breakfast could've had more variety at times.

We enjoyed the swimming pool although I think it would have been perfect if it had a bar to buy drinks/snacks etc.
The breakfast was quite bland although I appreciate it was continental but it was the same every day (no variation)

The location of this hotel is excellent. 2 minutes walking distance to Kamari beach and main street. You will get the local transportation (bus) just outside the hotel to go to Fira. It was really a please stay in this hotel with my wife and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for the budget hotel and interested to stay near beach side.
Don't expect too many varieties in breakfast but still breakfast is ok.

Everything about this hotel is great. It is family run and the staff do everything they can to help. It is obviously Greek and extremely relaxing. Medium size poool and it is only 50 metres or so from the beach or sea. Restaurants are plentiful and supermarkets nearby. Cleanlliess is excellent.
Absolutely nothing, lovely place.
